GL2020 Program Committee Chair Giovanni De Simone is Head of CNR Central Library "G. Marconi" (National Research Council of Italyl) since October 2019. Graduated in Political Sciences at the University of Naples "L’Orientale", his competences in Institutional Communication, Public Relations and Information Office Management are certified by Italian institutional Master Degrees and Specialization Courses (CNR, ANCI, AICP). De Simone also obtained a Master Degree in "Open Innovation and Knowledge Transfer" at the Politecnico University of Milan-School of Management. Since 2012, he is the Chair of Genoa Science Festival Program Committee (Festival della Scienza di Genova), one of the most important international meeting on scientific divulgation in Europe. Giovanni de Simone was previously responsible of "Social Participations and Agreements Office" and is currently involved in supporting analysis, management and monitoring control of CNR Partnership and Collaborations (Working Group on Analysis of CNR Collaborative Partnership with Companies). As responsible of CNR Central Library, he presides over the "Permanent Coordination Committee for the management of CNR libraries" and the Working Group "Open Access for CNR Research Products".

Silvia Giannini graduated and specialized in library Sciences. Since 1987 she has been working in Pisa at the Institute for the Science and Technologies of Information "A. Faedo" of the Italian National Council of Research (ISTI-CNR). Currently she is the Head of the Library and Scientific Documentation Center of the CNR in Pisa.

Henk Harmsen wrote a PH.D. at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam (VU) about automatic syntactical- and semantic text-parsing. He was head of the IT department and interim manager of an institute of the Netherlands Royal Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW). In 1998 he went to the UvA as a librarian and operational manager at the Faculty of Science. He has lead a few reorganisations and he is the primary 'booster' of various innovative IT-projects. Since 2005 Henk is the vice director of Data Archiving and Networked Services (DANS).

Tomas Lipinski is the Dean of the School of Information Studies at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. He completed his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Marquette University Law School, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, received the Master of Laws (LL.M.) from The John Marshall Law School, Chicago, Illinois, and the Ph.D. from the Graduate School of Library and Information Science, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Dr. Lipinski has worked in a variety of legal settings including the private, public and non-profit sectors.

Joachim Schöpfel is senior lecturer at the Department of Information and Library Sciences at the Charles de Gaulle University of Lille 3 and Researcher at the GERiiCO laboratory. Plato Smith is the Data Management Librarian at the University of Florida with experience in academic research libraries, digital libraries, and data management. He received his doctorate in the field of Information Science from the School of Information within the College of Communication and Information at Florida State University, Florida's iSchool, Summer 2014. From 2005 to 2012, he was Department Head for the FSU Libraries' Digital Library where he developed, populated, and managed digital collections in the FSU Libraries' digital content management system, DigiNole Repository, and electronic theses and dissertations (ETDs) institutional repository.

Ján Turňa is the Director of the Center of Scientific and Technical Information of the Slovak Republic since 2007. He is a chairman of the Committee of the Slovak Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, a member of the National Committee for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and a member of the Scientific Council of SAS. In 2010, he ran for the post of Dean of the Faculty of Science, Charles University. Since 2015 he has been the director of the Science Park of Comenius University.

Hana Vycitalova graduated with a master's degree in Information science and librarianship at the Charles University in Prague. She works in the National Library of Technology in Prague (NTK). Currently, she is leader of the Center of repositories in the NTK and coordinator of the international Conference on Grey Literature and Repositories in the Czech Republic. She is interested in grey literature, digital repositories, open access, research data, enhanced publications and free licences.
